“ Absolutely delicious boba and cutest carrying cups?? Yes plz! The tea is brewed fresh in house here and you can definitely taste the difference, this is a must try! 5/5 drinks - I'm a oolong tea lover and their oolong is one of if not my favorite I've had 5/5 service - everyone was so nice! 5/5 vibes - lots of parking around the shop and the interior is so cute ”
“ This place is amazing! The moment you walk in, the smell is incredible. Once you're ready to order they greet you with a free taster (tea ceremony). I got the fruit tea with full sweetness and light ice, and WOW. It was so good! It came with passion fruit, apple slices, and lime slices--super fresh and flavorful. I also tried the black tea with cream at half sweetness. It tastes exactly how the shop smells. Highly recommend stopping by! ”
“ Second visit! Even more busy than my first time. I opted for the bubble milk tea. I enjoyed this one more than the dong ding I got last time. Next time I am going to see if going during the week is not as busy. ”
“ I've been seeing this new Taiwanese tea house pop up on social media and naturally, I had to pay a visit. They're a Michelin-rated boba place and I can totally see why! The line was out the door at 2 pm on Saturday. Bring your patience because you'll be waiting awhile to place your order and for getting your order. Price wise, I thought their drinks are about average. Not too expensive for the quality you get. Each drink is handcrafted and you can tell with every sip. They have a daily tea ceremony and you're offered free tasting of said tea. That day was the osmanthus oolong tea with passion fruit and I loved it so much that's what I ended up ordering with light ice and less sweet. I loved that it was paired with actual passion fruit seeds so it was sweet and tangy. It was packed waiting for our order and waited quite awhile. My one criticism is wish they had a speaker of some sort because it was hard to hear that your number is called. ”
“ Jan. 18, 2025 Absolutely loved it and I will come back when I am in the area again. I ordered the Classic Fruit tea (contain passion fruit and lemon slices). Very refreshing. 10/10 recommend!! ”
“ Their taro milk tea was great, the little taro bubbles had a good texture and consistency. They always give you samples of whatever tea they have at the time. ”
“ Finally got to try the highly praised Chicha San Chen - located to the side of a popular plaza in Duluth so don't be confused when your GPS tells you to turn early or directs you to the very side of the plaza. Line was nearly out the door when I went and remained that way throughout my entire visit here. They offer you a tea sample at the register and then you can either build your own drink, or select a drink from the other side of the menu. Premium prices (~$8/boba) but you can definitely taste the quality, and contrary to many boba places, perfect sugar is actually not very sweet. In fact, out of personal preference, I actually wished my drink was a bit sweeter because I could really taste the green tea and it was a bit too strong for me. Boba topping has great chewy texture to it! I appreciated the service, how clean/modern the interior is, and how authentic the process is. It looks like they make each drink's tea fresh with their machines! If you are a fan of tea and prefer stronger tea flavors, this is the place for you. ”
“ I've been to the Austin location, so I already know Chicha San Chen is a high quality spot, but I'm still impressed every time. I've never seen this place without a line, but it moves pretty quickly. Even with them giving out the free tea samples, I almost didn't have my order ready by the time I got to the front of the line. While I know Chicha to have really good quality milk teas that are super flavorful and creamy, I decided to try some of their fruit teas. I think it's already hard for most places to do a good fruit tea, because most places taste so artificial. And then it's even harder to pull off orange and lemon flavors. But Chicha does it so well! The flavors come through so well without being too citrusy or tart. I was especially impressed with the creamy lemon tart. It was undeniably lemon but it was also so mild and pleasant. Tasted like lemon meringue pie. ”
“ 4 stars for the bubble tea itself, but rounding up for the experience. Came by after hearing thee was a Michelin-recommended bubble tea joint nearby, and coming by around 12:30pm on a Sunday they were pretty packed. We waited about 20 minutes for our teas to be prepped with about 15 parties in front of us. The staff was gregarious. They periodically run a tea tasting experience in the back of the store for customers while they wait. Following the international tea tasting standards, they parcel out 3.0g + or - 0.1 grams of tea leaves in one of five roasting levels from lightest to darkest (shortest to longest time roasted). Then they use water that's a specific temperature (I forget exactly what) and soak the leaves for exactly 90 seconds before you can taste it. I tried the 4th level which was a darker roast and enjoyed the maltier flavor. I tried a bit of the lightest roast and it kinda tasted like they washed some tea leaves with the water lol. Anyways getting to the actual drinks we ordered, they offer preset options or you can make your own permutation. I opted for the Dong Dong Oolong Tea with cream (non-dairy) and grass jelly, light sugar and no ice. The drink was smooth and the tea fragrant. The one slight let down was the grass jelly didn't taste like anything, it should have a slightly sweet herbal taste. I tried my friend's regular milk tea with bubbles and the consistency of the bubbles was perfection--chewy, bouncy (QQ for those that know the term,) with just the right amount of sweetness. I love me some correctly prepared tapioca bubbles--they're so rare and far between to find! Found out afterwards they've also expanded into several other US cities including a location in Chinatown NYC. I imagine it's probably slightly pricier in NY, though to be honest $8+ for bubble tea in Atlanta is already on the pricier side. ”
